The body is being brought to Kathmandu by Nepalese army helicopter

 

Out of the 69 people who died in the plane crash of Yeti Airlines in Pokhara on Sunday, the bodies of 46 are being brought to Kathmandu by the Mi-17 helicopter of the Nepali Army on Tuesday.

According to Kaski Assistant Chief District Officer Anil Kumari Shahi, preparations are being made to send the body to Kathmandu.

The bodies of the remaining 23 who died in the accident will be handed over to their relatives after an examination in Pokhara.

Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAN) spokesman Jagannath Niraula informed that the body will be taken to the teaching hospital in Maharajgunj. He said that since the weather in Pokhara is clear on Tuesday, the body will arrive in Kathmandu after 10 am. The army helicopter reached Pokhara on Monday to bring the dead body.

The search for the 3 missing people in the accident has been started since Tuesday morning. A team including Nepali Army, Nepal Police Armed Police Force and divers are conducting search operations, Can said.
