YouTube monetization is even easier, now reach 500 subscribers

Keeping in mind the small creators, YouTube has brought some changes in the monetization policy i.e. the rules for channel monetization. The company has said that it has relaxed the rules of channel monetization keeping in mind the small creators.

The company has implemented new rules for channel monetization under the ‘YouTube Partner Program’. According to the new rules, now 500 subscribers will be enough for channel monetization. Before this, 1000 subscribers were mandatory for monetization.

In addition to this, the channel’s watch hours (video viewing time) have also been reduced from 4,000 to 3,000. Also, in the case of shorts views, it has been reduced from one crore views to three million. The company believes that this will make it easier for small creators to monetize their channels.

Although the rules of monetization have changed, the rules of income distribution remain the same. Initially, this rule will be applied in the US, UK, Canada, Taiwan and South Korea.
