Dhanusha. Health and Food Sanitation Minister Nisha Mehta has stated that the tender process for the construction of the approved Critical Care and Trauma Center in Dhalkebar, Dhanusha, has already moved forward. Inspecting the proposed land for the Trauma Center construction on Sunday, Minister Mehta informed that the tender-related documents have been signed by the Ministry of Health and sent to the infrastructure-related body.
She said that after the process is completed, the tender will be called, and then the construction work will move forward. “There is no longer any uncertainty about whether the Trauma Center will be built. This project has already been included in the government's multi-year plan,” said Minister Mehta. She expressed confidence that the foundation stone will be laid soon, noting that the necessary preparations appear appropriate from the site inspection.
Local residents have been receiving assurances for the construction of the Trauma Center for a long time, but since the work has not started, they have been expressing doubts about the implementation of the project.
During the inspection, Member of Parliament Rajkishor Mahato said that the local residents will be convinced only after the construction work of the building begins. He drew the Minister's attention to expedite the process of laying the foundation stone, mentioning that the start of construction work is more important than assurances.
“The citizens here have been receiving assurances in the name of the Trauma Center for a long time. Now, assurances alone will not satisfy them. Trust will only be generated after the building construction begins,” he said. The inspection was attended by Dhanusha's Chief District Officer Prem Prasad Luintel and heads of security agencies.
