US Offers $20 Million Reward for Information on Iran's Nuclear Program

Washington

Washington. The United States has announced a reward of up to 20 million US dollars for individuals who provide significant information about Iran's nuclear program.

This announcement has been made under the 'Rewards for Justice' program of the US Department of State. The ministry has also stated that individuals providing such secret information can be relocated to a safe place if necessary.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' statement, due to Iran not complying with the security obligations of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the IAEA has lost information about the production and storage of key equipment like Iran's 'centrifuges'. Centrifuges are used for uranium enrichment. They can be used to create fuel for civilian purposes, and if purified to over 90 percent, can also be used to build nuclear weapons. Therefore, the BBC has reported that the US has offered such a large sum for intelligence on Iran's nuclear centers, equipment, and the personnel working there.
