A Greedy Farmer Story: Once there lived a farmer in a village. He had a wonderful goose. The goose laid an egg every day. The interesting thing is that all the eggs are made of gold. However, the farmer was very greedy. He thought that there were many eggs in the belly of the goose. So, he wanted to have all the eggs at a time to become rich overnight. One day, suddenly he hit upon a plan. The plan is that he would kill the goose. He will do so just for getting all the eggs of gold at a time from its belly.
He told his wife about his plan. His wife was wise and not greedy. So she advised her husband, “Don’t be greedy. We should be happy with what we have.” But the greedy farmer did not listen to his wife. He killed the goose with a sharp knife. Then he cut open its belly. But alas! He found no eggs in it. And finally, the greedy farmer lost his valuable goose forever. So we should learn that if we want all, we will lose all.

But the greedy farmer did not listen to his wise wife. Finally, the farmer cut its stomach with a sharp knife. But alas! There was no egg in it. The farmer was sorry. His wife also scolded him. She said, “You are foolish but greedy. So you have lost all.”
