Advocate Bhagwati Pandey, who gave controversial statements, was arrested, three policemen were injured in the clash with the protestors

Advocate Bhagwati Pandey has been arrested for making controversial statements in a television interview.

According to DSP Anil Adhikari of District Police Complex Kathmandu, Advocate Pandey was called to the complex in the morning for questioning. He was taken into custody from the premises.

But three policemen were injured in the protest demanding his arrest. People from Magar and Tamang communities protested demanding action against Pandey.

The police fired three rounds of tear gas to control the demonstration. At the same time, the DSP officer informed that three policemen were injured due to stones thrown by the protestors.
