‘Thousand Nepali Creator fell into crisis without Facebook Manitization facility, let’s negotiate with Meta ’

Kathmandu Gyanu Basnet Suvedi, an MP from Neckpa (Maoist Center), said thousands of content creators were financially affected when the Facebook page monitoring was not available in Nepal.
Speaking at a meeting of the House of Representatives on Wednesday, she asked the government to hold immediate formal talks with Facebook to address the problem.
“Thousand Content Creators have been financially affected by the fact that the Facebook page monitoring facility is not available in Nepal now, ” She said, “It is hindering job creation, digital entrepreneurship and access to Nepali content internationally. ”
He said that those who prepare content using their creativity, time and resources could not earn from it, adding that the danger of exodus of talented people in the digital field was increased. “It has been difficult for Creators to grow talent in the digital field when they do not get income from the material prepared using their creativity, time and resources, ” she added.
She stressed that the government should take diplomatic initiatives to address this problem. “To address this, the government should formally negotiate with Facebook and implement a monitoring facility in Nepal as well, ” she said.
If the Manitization Facility is available, she expressed confidence that Nepali Content Creators will be able to compete in international and create opportunities for self-employment for thousands of young people.
